Just Posted. What Does it Mean?

This was posted today on Pacer:

Trustee's Interim Report. The trustee has submitted to the Office of the United States Trustee an interim report for the period ending 06/30/11. The interim report provides information concerning asset administration and an accounting of the financial activity in the case. The trustee will provide a copy of the interim report to a party in interest upon request.. (Xxxxx, Xxxxxxxxx) (Entered: 08/23/2011)

What does that mean? i am discharged and waiting for it to close.

That means that you're not too far away from being closed. The interim report is the "almost final" report that goes to the judge. There are a few final details to finalize, but you're getting close. When the final details are done, you will see the final report and your case will close.

Has the Trustee previously designated you as "no assets - no distribution?"

Nope, we were assets (Car). He has sent out all (6) checks, in June.

Since you are an asset case, the Trustee must routinely report to the Office of the United States Trustee (OUST) on the status of the liquidation of the estate. This is such a report. It details what property has been recovered or seized and the status of any distributions made. It's basically nothing more than a report of what's going on with the asset case.

The case should close soon if all the checks have been sent out. They generally wait some number of weeks (6-12?) for all checks to clear. Then they do their final accounting and close the case. For what it's worth, my case was a no-asset case and it took 5 months to close. I do think the delay had something to do with my Adversary Proceeding, but that was dismissed by stipulated agreement (settlement) 3 months earlier.
          Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

scooter ...i hope you didn't miss the blog area and jb and the others explained it great....

"i know from what i have read on this forum, that many asset cases take some time to close. some because of just the sheer amount of paperwork needing to be sped through out the system to notify everyone.

at this point since the "Order Allowing Administration Expenses" expenses usually reads something like:

"This case came on for consideration on the Notice of Trustee’s Final Report and Applications for Compensation (Doc. No. XX). The United States Trustee has reviewed the final report. All creditors and parties in interest have been given notice and the opportunity for a hearing of all pending applications for compensation and all pending administrative claims. All objections, if any, are resolved. It is therefore...." and so on and so forth....and then the actual order is specific with costs, fees and expenses ...and then the actual order in the body:

              ORDERED:

              1. The following expenses of administration which have not been paid are allowed, and
the trustee is directed to pay these expenses to the person(s) and should list all the fees and expenses and so on and so forth.....

TOTAL COSTS OF ADMINISTRATION ORDERED PAID: $ x,xxx.xx

              2. The following expenses of administration which have been previously paid and again so on and so forth.....

              more stuff and then

DONE AND ORDERED in (town and state, on ______, (date)
