Please help - NOLO Means Test Line 25 (tax question)

    Hi All,
I've been filing out the means test on the NOLO site. On line 25 it states that it's for income tax. Do you fill in the tax deductions from your paystubs here? I thought that was what I was supposed to fill in, but then I found the line below on the justice.gov site. Makes a huge difference. If this is the case (below), how do they account for all the taxes that come out of your paycheck??

Line 25, Other Necessary Expenses: taxes.
-Bases on actual monthly amount of taxes owed, not taxes withheld.

Thank you so much for your help!!

That is just specifying that if you receive a large refund, you don't get to claim the full amount of withholding from your paycheck. For example, if you have $500 withheld from your check each month, but then get a $4000 refund at the end of the year, then you are having $333 too much withheld from your check and you are not allowed to list that amount as an expense.

You DO get to claim the FICA, state taxes, etc. that you actually owe each month.
    Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11
