    It's a Done deal!

Just wanted to thank everyone that took the time to respond what must of seemed like silly questions at the time but I have made it thru!

thought I would share my story & say thank you!

Aug 2010 started reading up on bankruptcy on this forum to see if
I even qualified. went online "free legal evaluation" didnt have
    to talk to anyone

Sept. 2010: $49,000 Debit (all credit cards) stopped paying credit cards.
tired of not being able to answer my phone (calls non-stop)
    got goggle number

Oct, 2010 did 3 free consultations will lawyers to get some kinda of idea of
cost and comparison of who is best fit for me. saved money for
bankruptcy fee ($1500) i could have found someone
cheaper but I felt comfortable with them.

Jan 2011 closed Wells Fargo checking (heard they will close my account)
opened checking at Bank of the west
paid lawyers to get the ball rolling.
as soon as lawyer sent letters notifying of my pending bankruptcy,
all phone calls stopped, bills stopped coming in the mail. So weird!

March 2011 341 meeting with trustee for my chapter 7 (just asked basic questions)
    maybe 2 minutes

June 2011 checked pacer and my case has been dismissed, no muss no fuss!

    FYI:
I work full time and make $30.00 and hour(just so much credit couldn't pay minimums anymore and tired of stressing. I own a 12 year old mobile home.
Wells Fargo never did close my account (I didn't have any credit card with them) just checking & savings.
since my discharge I keep getting offers for credit cards (no fee) and lots of letters from car dealers saying "now that your bankruptcy is completed" we will extend credit at low interest rate. I am shocked at the offers considering my bankruptcy! I am loving being debit free for the first time in my life! I have actually started to save money. I don't have to rent out my rooms to make ends meet. So when you are stressing hope this can give someone a little comfort that it will all be OK and work out. I will never get myself into debit again, now that I have a fresh start!

any questions or comment, please feel free to ask.

    $30/hr * 40 hr/wk * 52 wk/yr = $62400/yr. How were able to file Chapter 7?

House payment? Child care? Large household expenses?

I make more than that and am filing a CH 7. We have a decent size house payment, all the cards are in my name and we pay an enormous amount each month for child care. All three of those things pushed me over the top.

I'm sure you meant to type discharged.
                Congrats on the fresh start.
