Getting Calls after Discharge (Discharged 5/17/2011) for DEDT of $10,261!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi All,
What should I do, I have Chase Card Services calling my Parents, and saying that my account is going to Collections, and they have sent several letters. They say I still owe them money???
But they were on my Bankruptcy paperwork, and the discharge papers went to them.
Now they are threating to take me to COURT???
Should I contact my attorney, and what info should I get from my parents cause they are not calling me but them.
    Thanks
    Russ
PS-my credit report still shows I have montly payments of $7900???
    What a mess...

Absolutely contact your attorney. Gather the letters and make a copy of them to give them to the attorney. Keep the originals in a safe place. Also, start a log of when they called including date, time and person called (you, parents, friends, neighbors). Your attorney will probably send them a cease and desist "or else" letter for this first volley. Your attorney may or may not be interested in pursuing this, but the attorney can earn fees for these types of violations.

Remember, they only do this because we, the discharged debtors, allow them to -- by not taking action!
