    Student loan question

We filed BK7 the end of May. I know student loans aren't dischargeable, but do we get any kind of stay from paying those till our case closes? We need to change our repayment plan, but I don't think we should do that till our case is done. So can we not pay those for a few months?

You get the benefit of the stay until the case is "discharged". So, for the 3-4 months your chapter 7 is pending, you need not send a payment and the student loan servicer cannot demand payment. Note, there is a difference between discharge and closing. Oft times, discharge and close will happen around the same time, but not always, a case usually discharges before it closes. The automatic stay ends upon discharge.
