My no-asset case was discharged, but still not officially closed.... coming up 3 wks.

I posted about this previously. My no asset case is still showing up as Disposition and not closed.

My discharge was 5/26/2011. This Thursday it will be three weeks without an official close.
There are no assets, so at what point do I become concerned. Or should I? This is driving me nuts. BTW, I have seen lists of cases in my district that were discharged and closed on the same day.

Call the clerk of your BK court and ask to speak with your caseworker. Ask that person what 'disposition' means in your case, and why it doesn't show up as 'Closed.' Ask if there is anything missing from your file--although there shouldn't be if the case was properly discharged. If you have an attorney, what does he/she say?

Haven't contacted the atty's office yet to ask. Since it takes 65 days to get a discharge in my district, I did try to allow for a little extra time to process. Plus, I kept hoping it would show up as closed.
I will have to call them.

No asset, discharged, nothing to really be concerned about. It will happen soon.

i have seen them go up to another 2 months for the trustee to close the case, they just could be back logged or something simple with the paper work. i' certain you and or your atty would know if the trustee was going to turn your case into an asset case by now. so and i know this is hard, but sit back and i'm sure it will come anytime now.
