Accounts being reported as "charge off's" after filling chapter 7

Hi all,
Both BofA and my Chase have reported my accounts as "Charge off's" after my chater 7 was filled, and has updated after discharge is this correct???
Accounts were only 120 and 150 days late as of filling... Should I dispute,
Can they come after me and try to collect the money, it's about 30k;
Chapter 7 has been DISCHARGED 5/18/2011 and Closed....

it might take them a month or so after your discharge to catch up with your discharge. if not, i would dispute it...IF those accounts were included in your chapter 7. also, you don't mention if your chapter 7 was an asset or no asset, if it was an asset, are those creditors were included in any asset distribution they may still be awaiting payments from the trustee???

Give your credit report about 6 months to settle down, and then start making necessary corrections. And no, they can't come after you for discharged debt.

I agree with frogger, it takes about six months for everything to really report correctly and there will be a few cards that will have to be disputed. If you were over 30-60 days late when you filed then you were probably in charge off status before you filed, and they can still report the account as a charge off legally, but they cannot come after you for any money.
