We had to go to a pre-filing credit counseling or class, if you want to call it that. Ours was actually beneficial to us in that the lady that consulted with us, pointed out things that we missed in drawing up our budget prior to filing. She also looked at our income and outgo, and told us that we were better suited for a Ch7 BK rather than the h13 we were trying for.
The post filing class, we took online and it took about an hour. In both cases, they present a 'Certificate of Completion" that needs to be in your file."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."
"Worry is the darkroom where negatives are formed."

Neither of those classes were any problem at all. Both were cheap. About 35 bucks each class. One was online. As the Mrs. stated both helped us.
