Purchase before or After?

This was a previous thread but no one has givin me an answer yet. We are including our vehicles in with the bk since we have been behind on them but we still will need a car. Would it make since to purchase another inexpensive vehicle before our bk or should we wait till after. If we wait till after and we have to surrender we will be without a vehicle? Please let me know as soon as possible.

Depends on how you want to buy the car? Will it be a cash purchase? The trustee may wonder were you got enough cash from to buy a car. You may have trouble financing a car before because of your credit and after because you filed bk.
Instead of buying a car, why don't you contact the lender on one of the vehilces, see if they can work somthing out so you can keep at least one car and not have to go out and buy one. Tell they you'll be filing bk, I'm sure they'll work with you instead of taking back the car.
