Even if they do get a garnishment they can "only" get 25% of your wages and I believe that is in total not per creditor. The settlement option might work will for you if you can get some income coming in.

A certain dollar amount of your income is exempt from garnishment anyway. I'm too lazy to look it up, but it's somewhere around $250/wk or so. So until you're actually making a fairly decent wage, they still can't garnish your wages, even if you have a job.Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11
0% payback to unsecured creditors, 56 payments down, 4 to go....

Awesome. Thank yall so much. I actually just did a phone interview with a local company so I may be starting a new sales job next week at $600 per week. Then maybe I can straighten this all out. After I get a decent income, what do I do about these bills. Should I wait until they all go to collections and offer a settlement, or start paying asap?

you can usually avoid a wage garnishment if you talk to them every once in a while and let them know the situation (unemployed still but looking and wanting to try) once your employed send them a little something each and keep talking to them. if you ignore them for a long time they will sue you etc.. also they cannot garnish your wages if they do not know where your work etc.. (they would have to get a judgment and a garnishment order and then a information subpeona to get that information). never put your private information for all to see on the internet because this is a tactic they use. for instance do not put your address or work information on facebook. or else protect it.
