Your cat was very pretty, sorry to hear about your loss of her.

She looks like our Arwen, except Arwen was a Tuxedo. White shirt and gloves. Rest was black all over.

Arwen passed 5.5 years ago. She was 14.5 years old and died of renal failure. Her brother, Mithrandir, is still alive. He'll be 20 on tax day.

They are always with you. I know it hurts like heck now, but you'll never forget her. And you'll see something, or something will happen and you'll think of her and smile.

Pets are dear and sweet and totally devoted to us.

Unconditional love. It's the best kind.

      Hugs to you.

There is no time when it's fun to loose a buddy. During BK seems to magnify all the bad that happens to us.

Your baby was the spitin image of my "Snowflake" - long haired Persian - black as midnight.... had her 17 years.....
she was a very finicky girl..... her daughter, was very loving...24 years.

Yes, you will miss yours. You'll even look for them for a while or look up expecting to see them....

Hope you have lots of cherished memories with your pet to remember....

Bless your heart! I'm so sorry about your loss. She was so pretty! I had a gray tabby cat that would let me cradle her like a baby when I was pregnant with my son. She would also crawl up on my belly and sleep. Some mean kids who lived a few doors down abducted her when she ran outside--that was several years ago.

I love my two dogs--one a mixed breed who is 14 years old and the other one is a registered English Springer Spaniel. The Springer is such a goober!!! He doesn't have a clue or a care in the world and always wants to play fetch. Nothing like having a dog with a slobbery squeaky toy greeting you!

Again, so sorry for your loss. My one dog is so old and I know it's only a matter of time.

I lost my dog of 18 years and my cat of 16 years within 10 days of each other and could not have been more devastated. It took me about 3 years to get another cat but now I have Josie and she's awesome!!
You gave your beautiful kitty a wonderful home while here on this earth and that is the best gift of all. Always remember that.

                  Not really.

We know of one older than him.

Where we used to live, it was a small, rural farming town outside Kansas City before the 'burbs started moving out there. So, we have Feed and Seed Store in town.

The guy who owned the Feed and Seed Store had several cats. They are great to keep around because the feed and seed attracts mice like crazy.

The owner had bought the F&S Store 26 years before we moved there, and he'd inherited a cat with the Store. That cat lived another 2 years before she died. 28 years old, at least!!

I want to express my sympathy for your loss. I lost my dog last October. The same day I filed. I made two very tough decisions that day. My 13 year old dog had been having seizures for 9 months and he was starting to suffer horribly. I have a cat that is 19 and she is great!!!
                    Take care,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If you DON'T THINK pets aren't part of the family???? Just go back and read all these posts........

Pet "love" is #1 in many households.......

When people divorce they fight over the pet, pay alimony for the pets, and have visiting rights!!

I loved whem my cat would sleep with me... She would curl up and snuggle in and I could fell her breathing. She was soo sweet! She should still be with me... I cannot go to sleep now cause she isn't here. It took 3 hours to fall asleep the last 2 nights. I don't know if I could ever love another cat as much...

                          Yeah, ya can.....

Each new baby or member of the family - kid or pet.... makes their own little space....

They have their own attitude, silly things they do, quirks, certain way the snuggle, and the certain ways they look at you... all different than anyone else.

I can relate to not sleeping good. When my cat of 24 years died I didn't sleep good for weeks (she always slept on my shoulder with her feet hanging over and breathing in my ear - she would snuggle her head down behind my ear).... She has been gone for years but I still put my hand on my shoulder at nite like I'm petting her!! Strange huh, the habits we do..... Yeah, still miss her!!

My two cats were as different as day in nite in personalties, but yet mother and daughter. One very loving, the other very finicky. One snuggled - the other was a don't touch me girl.

Yes you will miss your wee one, it will take time to get over it..... I still haven't gotten another cat over the years. Its been 12 years now.....

When my shepherd died it was 5 years before I got another dog of my own (my mom still had two of hers).

I know if I go pick up a kitten somewhere I will KEEP IT.... and my "girls" now are dogs... and it would be a battle of who rules the roost at my house.

When I had both dogs and cats, they were raised together.... friends.......

All my babes over the years have been "special" - I adopted them and they picked me!!! Each one has their own special place in my heart and my memories!

Sorry this is happening to you during such as stressful time as bankruptcy also...... double whammy.....
