Well this just keeps getting worse

My cat died today. As if the BK isn't enough, I now have to deal emotional with this as well. She was my best friend... I just fell like giving up!

Hate to hear about your "little buddy"..... I sure understand how you feel.

I had two cats years ago - one lived to be 17 years old and one lived to be 24 years old.

Sure was devastated when they died..... so many years with them......

The only way to cure a broken heart from loosing a pet is give another one a home and let them make "their own" little space in your heart.....

New love does help ease the pain of loosing an old love!!!

I got two cats in my divorce, do you want them? They whine all the time that there food bowl isn't full to the brim, they throw up all over the floor (I can't seem to find a food that works, even that 40/bag crap doesn't work). They shovel there litter all over the floor, ect.

Are you cats females?
If they throw- up its probably "hairballs" - they need to be brushed a lot if they are long haired. Also you can get medicine from the vet for this.....
Do you give them attention - or are they just "there"...
The litter thing - yes they do kick it out - but just sweep it up and think - these are "my buddies"!! And SMILE!

A pet offers a lot of Love and Devotion...... we just have to take the good they bring with the bad that often follows them.

Lots of us treat our pets like we do our kids....

Would I get rid of my kid cause he cries? NO
Would I get rid of my kid cause he gets sick? NO
Would I get rid of my kid cause he gets dirty? NO
Does my kid need lots of attenton? YES

Love those pets - sometimes its the best thing in life that happens to you at the right time!!!

Good answer Minny....I am a pet person too - my passion is dogs. I would have a zillion of them if I could afford it. I can so upset when someone mistreats a pet of any kind. I had a dog - peek-a-poo who lived to be 18 years old...it truly was like losing my child. We got another dog months after my peekapoo, Patticake, died. She is more my son's dog but definitely one of the family.

Remember aa06a47 your pets love you no matter what. Based on your post you definitely dont need to be a pet owner. It reminds of me dog owners who tie up their dogs all the time...that is so despicable. If you dont have the time and love to care for an animal do them a favor and dont have them because they deserve a lot better than you.

You can tell by my avatar that I love dogs too..... Have had a white belguim shepherd, a dalmation, a min-border collie, a labordor and now my beagle and my beagle/bassitt girls.....
All my animals have died from old age except one who died from kidney stones (treating her for something else).

I can't afford to feed anymore, but do feed a neighborhood dog named "Tilly" (a beagle).

If I lived on a farm, it would be UNREAL the animals I would have!!!


I find homes for all strays that come around, and I've been known to stop and pick an injured up dog out of the road and take it to the vets for treatment - and then find it a home. Vet always donates his care for me!!! Nice guy!!

Yes, when you take on a pet - it's a responsibility!!!

Well, I do complain alot about my cats, but they are treated like kings and queens (both of them are "its", but one was a male, and one was a female). They get alot of attention....They demand it. I can't talk on the phone, can't watch tv, can't lay down in the bed, without them climbing on me and rubbing there head on my head. The only thing I can do is turn the vacuum cleaner on, they don't like that!!LOL!!! I thought cats were not suppose to be that way. They love on me all the time.

One cat has long hair, and it isn't the one that throws up all the time, it is the short haired cat that gags all over the house. I think it is because they eat so much. I have gotten them the hair ball medicine, but seems to not help much. Perhaps the vet sells a better brand.

Apology in order here, we kind of got the idea that you had two cats you REALLY didn't want........ too willing to give them up.

But guess thats not the case here. Glad you do like them and love them..... Some cats are very loving, some don't want you to touch them!!!

If they love on you ALL THE TIME - you are LOVED by an animal very much!!! That's GREAT.......

They are great stress relievers - my dogs sure are - and they are my best companions and TV partners.

If you are under a lot of stress right now over bankruptcy, your cats will pick up on that feeling and love you twice as much trying to make everything BETTER for you.... My dogs did!!!! They would get right up against me and watch me real close if I cried or anything. They would get upset and stick with me like glue......

By the way - some cats are latose intolerant - and can't drink milk!!!! Besides they need very little milk after they become adults.... hard on their digestive system and bladder....

Felix, my youngest cat, follows me around like a dog would. He is setting right next to me right now proof reading this note. If there is any spelling errors it is his fault.

Sylvester, my oldest cat, actually trys to talk to me. Yes, it seems strange, but she will set there and actually seem like she is trying to tell me something. Even heard what sounded like my name come from her meow....

okay apology from me too...I am hyper-sensitive to all pets. They are such sweet creatures who dont ask for much except attention. We have a rat terrier now who looks just like the RCA dog. She has a black No. 8 on her back. She has such a personality and we all love to spoil her. We always had pets growing up. I have read you live longer if you have a pet and I think there is some truth to that. It is so nice to come home after a rotten day at work and have her wag her tail so hard it should fall off when I open the door. My son absolutely adores her; she is very protective of him. My husband too...we are all smitten with her...we live with her - instead of the other way around. I cant imagine life w/o a dog. So again sorry...I agree with Minny that they do sense when something is wrong. Last night in Tennessee we had all kinds of weather predictions tornadoes were coming our way...she started getting very nervous and barking...fortunately the tornadoes made a u-turn...

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I've cried alot over pets over the years and I've got three kids. I love my Princess very much. She is every bit a part of our family and i would miss her terribly.

So sorry about your cat. She looks like my smokey. I had him for almost 20 years. It took awhile to get over. Give yourself some time. Peace.
