Met with lawyer

Hi to everyone going down this rocky road!

I met with a lawyer Friday and am going forward. We bought a new house back in 06 didn't sell the old and ever since then been not able to make it after living on the cards. Joined a debt management plan to pay it off. Well my boss brought me in to say you may not have a job next year. That did it for me. I'm done so we can get ahead now and have a small savings set aside.

Have about 43K in debts did have closer to 60 2 years ago so we've done good getting them down but at this point it's about survival.

Just wanted to introduce myself. Been on these forums reading along for months now. But now ready to come out.

Yes, welcome aboard. I have learned a great deal on this forum. It's very comforting to know there are people out there going through or have gone through the same thing as me.

Welcome, Im just on the beginning of this journey as well, although I have filed already. So much help here!

I would make one suggestion though, I would get a little bit more anonymous screen name....unless that isnt your real last name. You never know who might be reading some of these posts (creditors) and better to not divulge too much who you are here on the internet.
