Just got a Trustee's Notice of Assets!!

Of course it's Good Friday, so my attorney's office is closed. I just received a "Notice of Assets" in today's mail. We had our 341 hearing on Tuesday, and thought that we were clear.

Here is what it says "Xxxx Xxxxx, Trustee, has located possible assets and hereby requests that the court establish a bar date for filing proofs of claim and notify all creditors and parties -in-interest of same".

What does this mean??? We don't have anything, seriously, we DON'T Please tell me not to get upset about this. Trying not to cry.

    Thanks!

I just called my husband and he reminded me that there was something left off of our deed of trust. Something that "maryland doesn't like", that the bank did wrong when we refinanced. It was mentioned that the bank would get sued. Could this be the possible "asset" in our case? Anyone know what could have been wrong on that last page of the deed of trust. I think it was something about acknowledging the exchange of money?? H E L P.

There must be something. Tax refund, non-exempt funds in checking account...

As for how serious it is, depends on what the asset is.

Or, it may be that he trustee is behind and instead of filing Notice of No Distribution, he filed the Asset notice to cover himself until he has time to fully review the matter.
