First credit report post discharge -- not too bad!

I have no idea what my score is cause I want to get stuff reported correctly before I check it. But all in all, the report doesn't have too many mistakes. And best thing I found - whether it will stay this way or not -- my Citibank credit card that I bk'd for over $25K has disappeared. It's not on my credit report anywhere!! That was a very pleasant surprise -- just keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way.

Congrats on your discharge!!! WhoooHoooo! I pulled my credit reports right after discharge just to see....not too bad. I did have to "clean up" a few errors, but nothing much.

How much time should allow to pass before I pull a credit report? I have been discharged and closed for 2 months.

I've only been discharged a week and all of mine is already on there. No time like the present.

Give it about 6 months before you start to work on it.

Items that have disappeared like this will probably return as we found out - we had several do that before and during our Chapter 13, especially if the accounts are being disputed as to information. The best thing to do is wait about 3 months after discharge and pull your reports to give creditors enough time to report correctly and things to iron out. What used to irritate me tremendously while going through several years of disputes were items that were disputed, correctly corrected by the reporting agencies, were fine for a while, but then returned to the old incorrect information several months later...thankfully all that is now off our credit reports (7 years after our Chapter 13 filing date).

I figured as much. We bankruptcied six accounts but have WAY more positive paid as agreed accounts on our history -- granted they are all closed but hoping our scores won't look too bad once I get the information all reporting correctly. I'm on the fence about subscribing to a monitoring service so I can stay on top of information reverting back to being reported incorrectly. If I could just pull every six months, I'd be happy. I've only pulled Equifax right now and haven't pulled Experian or TU on the free annual. Can't decide whether to pull them all at the same time and correct them all or pull some now and some in six months and not use a service. I know they can all report differently so not such if that is the best approach. Might be better to just purchase a 3 bureau report every other time than pay a monthly fee -- guess I'd have to run the numbers on that.

I pulled my credit report about 2 weeks after discharge, then waited a couple of months for things to reflect with correctly, then started to "clean up." Like 'Flamingo' stated, it is frustrating when you fix something on your credit report then later it goes back to the original error. I now look at my credit report every six month....

                Good Luck!
