Finally filed!

After 4 months of doing research, asking questions on this forum and deep thought- we officially filed today. I am a bit worried as to if we have jumped from the frying pan into the fire, so to speak. But it will be nice to have the phone stop ringing, the letters stop coming and just generally worrying about how we are going to get out of about 60k in cc and medical debt. I'm just a little worried about scrutiny from the trustee and a local creditor. Our plans for filing last Thursday went down the drain, as I learned I had a 15 week miscarriage that afternoon, and have been dealing with some tough stuff since then.
But it does feel good to finally be filed, I actually just got to give my case number out for the first time to a JDB And can you believe she acted like I was pulling her leg- when I told her she said "oh yeah, what chapter did you file?" I told her 7, gave her our case # and attorney info, and she said "we will certainly be speaking with your lawyer about this!". Go right ahead, lady, go right ahead!

Relief, relief, relief! Sealpup, after a little while, you'll be kicking yourself about, "Why didn't I do this sooner!" I stressed about making my decision for a good 10 years, plodded along, paid them regularly, and all they did was jack my rates up for paying on time. You did the right thing, for your health, for your family, etc. I'm so sorry about your miscarriage....please don't let this stress you anymore! You are on your way to freedom! Best wishes to you!

My goodness, so sorry about the added stress of a miscarriage, nothing compares to that stress. I wish you all the best, I intend on officially filing this week or at the latest the beginning of next. I can't wait to be able to tell the callers that I have officially filed, rather than "I have an attorney on retainer" which in the end really means not a whole lot. My heart goes out to you in this time of need.
