Credit Card Question

This week I received a CC from Lane Bryant in the mail. I filed Bk the 1st of March. That account was included in the BK but the Lane Bryant card had a 0 balance. My credit limit before BK was $1000 this new card says $300. I don't understand this. I would like to keep the card just because it would help me rebulid my credit. Why would they send me a new card?

They probably sent the card because you had a zero balance when you filed, and since you can't file again for 7 years, your a decent credit risk. Just make sure you wait until after your discharge to try to use it, your not suppossed to incure new debt during a BK.

Just out of curiosity, why did you include the account if there was a 0 balance?

My Atty said to list everything and she also went off my credit report to make sure I had everything listed
