    341 Meeting tomorrow

Tomorrow is my 341 meeting I have mixed feelings about talking to the trustee. I received my income tax refund but spent it on house bills, car repair, groceries and home improvement. (i did keep the receipts) I'm really nervous, but I'm ready to get this over with and move on to the next chapter in my life. My lawyer hasn't called me to tell me to bring bank statements, but I'm taking them just in case the trustee ask for them. Can anyone think of anything else I may be missing and need to carry? I want things to go smoothly & I'll post back tomorrow. Thanks again for everything....

I brought a couple months of pay stubs, driver licence, and social security car with me as my BK lawyer asked me to bring them just in case. I also brought with me confidence and faith that all was going to be all right during and especially after the 341 meeting. Good luck.

Best of luck! I recently had mine, and while I admit it didn't go so well for many people before it, it went completely smoothly for me with no issues. I was literally up there for about one minute, no more. Be open and honest and polite, and all will be fine for you. I look forward to hearing an update!

I'm back from my 341 meeting! The trustee was pretty nice & reasonable. There were two people that filed bk pro se. They didn't have there paper work together so the trustee basically gave the lady another chance to either get her paperwork right, hire an attorney or bring him $6K in May. The other guy didn't have his SS card, but the Trustee commended him on having his schedules correct. My meeting was at 2pm. Of course I was the 1st one called. The trustee asked for a copy of my paychecks and deed of trust. He asked where was my 7K tax refund. I told him I paid college tuition, back taxes and other household items. He cut me off & said he didn't need to hear anymore. He made notes on a piece of paper and allowed me to keep my house, car and $800 I had in the bank on the day of filing. I feel so much better, thanks to everyone on the bk forum. My lawyer is going to review my paper work to reaffirm my mortgage. Hopefully the judge will sign it and I can get this behind me.

While I understand your wish to reaffirm your mortgage, you may wish to review this thread, also on the Ch7 Board, before doing so:
