What does this letter mean for me?

My attorney is out until Monday, and no one is answering at the Trustees office.

I received a letter yesterday that is titled: Order and Notice Fixing Time to File Proof of Claims

What does this letter mean for me? Is this something they send out on everyone's case regardless of whether or not it is an asset case?

I don't have any assets, I wasn't given anything at the 341 meeting. My income tax refund is not very much.

Any help is appreciated, since I can't talk to my attorney 'til Monday.

It doesn't mean a thing to you. It is exactly what it states, an order and notice of fixing time to file proof of claims. You're going to get a copy of all of the paperwork that happens in your bk, regardless of whether it applies to you or not.

This one is irrelevant, so just chill and have a good week........

Your refund check from the irs, can cause your filing to be a asset case. It happen to my case. Because of the refund check from the IRS my case went from no asset to asset.

Do they send these letters out regardless if it is an asset case or not? Is this a letter they send out no matter what?

Frogger just told you the reason. You will get copies of all the "behind the scene" stuff. There are dots and tiddles going on in a legal way that is only protocol. It does not mean anything other than you are in your sixty days. 'Hub

Hey KSL, I just noticed your time line signature. Are you saying you have yet to be discharged? 341 in June of 2010? Are you an asset case? Do you have a PACER account? If not best get one and read your docket report. Our bk took a very long time do to a bad lawyer and we were an asset case. 'Hub

My bk was discharged in August/September, I think. I can't remember the date, that's why I never updated my signature.

Yes, my bk has been discharged. My trustee just received my tax info, and this letter went out about 10 days after I gave him my tax return papers.
