    Hey, remember me?

I've been so busy and haven't been able to give back like I planned. I apologize for that.

Quick recap: 341 meeting on 1/20, everything went smooth.
Nothing has happened at all since, no activity other than report on no distribution on the 21st.

Today we got a letter in the mail from an attorney representing our mortgage company
"Notice of appearance requested to be placed
on local rules 1007-2 parties in the interest list"
    (letter is dated March 23)

I went to Pacer and it shows us discharged as of TODAY.

What IS this? I tried finding some information on here, but nothing that explains what this means. I emailed my attorney of course, but because I'm impatient and always think the worst I thought maybe the fine people of BKforum could shed some light?

    Thanks so much

I'm pretty sure an Order of Appearance just means that attorney wants to be informed of your case. So, if you are discharged that attorney will receive copy of the notice. Someone else can verify that but I had the same question awhile back.

    ETA: congratulations on your discharge!!
A fresh start is a beautiful thing. And I'm not an attorney, just opinionated!

I'm certainly not an expert here, but I noticed something like this on my father-in-law's PACER documents. From reading it, I thought it meant that the attorney is requesting to be added to the list of informed parties so he/she will receive all documents and notices from the court in addition to or instead of the mortgage company. That doesn't add up to diddly if I'm understanding it correctly. Congratulations on the discharge, and I wouldn't sweat it.
      Filed 1/31/11 341 3/2/11 Waiting for discharge........

I'm going with the "benefit of the doubt". You are discharged, that is the fact and you get your dance of victory anyway.

I believe this is a dollar short and a day late for those guys.

        Grats, and here we go.

If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
