Filing certified coy of your Discharge of Debtor

Did anyone's attorney recommend filing a certified copy of your Discharge in the public records with your county in which you reside?

That is usually done in conjunction with avoiding judgment liens. Some bankruptcy courts hold that lien avoidance can only be completed when the debtor receives a discharge. There is a split of authority on the question, with other bankruptcy courts holding that lien avoidance can be completed prior to discharge. By filing a certified copy of your discharge in the land records, a future title search will show that any judgment liens have been avoided.
Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.
