discharged and Closed! Advice to rebuild

Received Letter for Trustee that I have been Discharged yesterday! Called Lawyer and was informed that I was closed as well no distribution. A little summary on the BK Ch 7. 2 mortgages not reaffirmed 1 car loan reaffirm. Back in the fall of 2008 my avaible credit was cut on all my cards, I had close to 10 grand avaible. That was cut to 2 grand all together. Then suddenly letters telling me that my interest rate was going to increase. With in 6 months I go from APR of 3.9% to as high as 7.9% to 19% and higher. With 2 incomes I was able to take care of the bills and feed the 4 children. Then the wife and I were expecting our fifth child, she was unable to work due to a high risk preg. Baby was born fine and was blessed with our 5th girl. Once I found out that we would lose are 2nd income I began making phone calls to work out arraignments with my card companies. They wanted nothing to do with me seeing that I was current. So after family, transportation and housing there wasn't much left. Began to fall behind which increased my interest rates even higher. So after No help from credit card companies I began to think like a CEO of my family and stopped paying altogether and wait it out a year and File ch7. I'm glad that I filed and are family is better off today because of it. If there is anything I have learned from all this is don’t wait, get it over with. I wished I would have done this after month 1 of missing payments. Take the emotion out of it, Heck the banks treat you as a business transaction YOU do the same. Morals and ethics need not apply dealing with greedy bankers. I have lived with out credit for a year and plan on only having one or two cards with limited use. I need to rebuild because our house is underwater 70-80 grand and want to walk away in a couple years. So with that said I need some advice with a credit company that others have used that would help me rebuilding. Thank you all for your support! This site rocks! As Charlie Sheen would say “ Winning”

That's great news for you and your family! Many blessings for your new baby and a bright future for your family as well! You did the right thing in filing and getting on rebuilding your life, life is too short to be under such oppressive pressure and all. You need to be free from such negativity to enjoy your family.
