I filed for BK last month and received my quarterly HOA statement today. My atty did include them in the BK but I am not behind on any payments to them.
On the statement today I had a MNTR fee of $24 as an additional charge. When I called the management company they said it was a monitoring fee. I asked them how often I would receive it and they said, not that often... what kind of response is that??? Then I asked them where in our governing docs does it state what they can charge for fees. They referred me to a very general paragraph that could be interperted as anything...
I have sent this info to my attorney (and he'll probably contact me on Monday) but was wondering - has anyone else had their HOA do this?
