    Discharged!....but not closed

Checked Pacer today was discharged 1/31/11
Filed 9/29/10; 341 11/24/10; 60 days was 1/24/11. Since I was turned into an asset case (Had to pay off trustee for blue sky of a business) creditors have until 3/1/11 to make a claim - although the only one actually getting anything is the IRS. So I guess I will have to wait until later for the closing.

Hang in there, congrats on being closer to the goal! :o)
Filed Chapter 7 7/14/2011, 341 meeting 8/16/2011, discharged 10/19/2011! Note that my posts are not legal advice, so please do not sue me, I have enough problems already.

Closing after discharge is just a matter of time. Mine was about 2 weeks after.

        Hi msm,

Congrats on the discharge! That is what you really want to see. Closing is a matter of the trustee dealing w/ creditor deadlines, wrapping up the paperwork, filing the final report, court clerk packing the file up and entering the closing. If it doesn't happen fast, don't worry.

        Discharged?! You're outta here!!

Tom, thanks! This forum has been a great help. I went with a BK mill $995 + filing fee and figured with what I could learn on this forum would be enough -- looks like I was right. I didn't need a lot of hand holding and this forum is a great education source.
