Hey AKA, so sorry for your troubles, I can relate so much to trying to hang on/keep up/struggle for a long while only to find that income above a certain point actually removes some options for getting help. I respect your efforts to hang on just like I feel good (to a point) for trying to do the same thing. When my wife and I finally were at the point of depair, we sought out a lawyer because this BK stuff is nothing we even remotely understood. I do not know if it is too late to get some legal help, but come what may, I wish you the best, it sounds like you deserve a break for real :o)
Filed Chapter 7 7/14/2011, 341 meeting 8/16/2011, discharged 10/19/2011! Note that my posts are not legal advice, so please do not sue me, I have enough problems already.

Appreciate the kind words. I have a future with a new woman in my life and just want all this crap put behind me. I don't care if I have to pay down in a CH13 as long as I can put the house and the debts/taxes that come with it behind me because I can't afford it. Wish I would have come across this website a year ago. could have filed a 7 with no problem.

When it comes to bankruptcy... timing is everything.
Same here. Looking back (knowing what I know now), waiting was a stupid decision for me. And as to bankruptcy and timing? Timing is everything!

To those of you that are considering bk, you really need to read, read, and read some more at this forum. You'll learn more here in a day than you will ever learn from a lawyer.

Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......
