Preferential payments.

My hubby needs to have surgery and the hospital is requiring us to pay $500.00 down and the balance of $500.00 so after.Its the out of pocket expense for the year thing.Does that count as preferential payments.We will try to file in March depending on Medical issues..........Also we want to do a 7 and stay and pay our house.We might have to skip 1 house payment to pay for some medical treatments and will pay monthly after that.Is that going to be a problem with the 7 since I know you are suppose to be current when you file.There is no other way to come up with the money and I really don`t want to add them to the bankrupcy since we might need them later on for medical reasons.
