    PACER Question

Can anyone with a PACER account view information about our case???

Can we view information about someone else's case?? Of course, I don't want to view anyone else's case, but I am curious as to who might have viewed mine.

    Thanks,
    Concerned

    Yes, it is public information.

Anyone can look up your name on the federal case index and find it.
With Pacer, those who are subscribed can find it and pay for downloading it. I just looked up, out of curiosity, my husband's brother's bankruptcy papers; he filed the last possible day in October to get under the new law.
    Filed Chapter 7, 8/16/05, 341 10/12/05
    Discharged 2/16/06, Case Closed 3/8/06
FICA Score (Equifax) as of 10/13/06 - 645
    (It was 506 on 10/12/05)

Will your brother-in-law know you looked up his information?

Any and all bankrutpcy information is public records and anyone can access your information if they know your name and ss#...... If you have an unusual name they could access it real easy just under your name or case #..

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
