Just wondering how many with discharged 7s in the past recieved a 1099?. I would really like to file my taxes and be done with it this weekend. I may just go ahead and wait till second week in Feb. just to see if I get any 1099s from any of the banks that were included in my discharge.

Many of my clients have been receiving 1099's for debt that has been discharged. Since there is no "forgiveness of debt" income when the debt has been discharged it is not a big deal but I do recommend waiting until after Feb 1 just in case you are sent one or two or three. . .
