I will have my 341 meeting on 1/27/11. I was offered a promotion at work starting 2/13/11. can this affect my Chapter 7 or is the trustee only concerned with the 6 months prior to filing for Bankruptcy. Your comments and advice are appreciatied.

Do you know for sure that this is starting? I would talk to your attorney and see what he has to say. If the income change is significantly higher, then the US trustee can dismiss you for a totality of circumstances, if the new income will allow you to pay a significant portion of your debts each month.You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet UnderComment

Schedule I asks for any significant changes to income reasonably expected to occur within a year of filing the form. My guess is if you were offered the job after the I was done you filled it out correctly but I'm not sure if you have to disclose at the 341 if not asked. If asked I would think you'd have to mention. As always consult with your attorney.Comment
