    Tax refund Question.

Trustee is taking our refund for this year. The whole $86.00 of it. Do I have to send the refund directly to him or can I have it deposited into my account and then just cut him a check? I would rather just send him my paperwork and money at the same time and be done with it. How did it work for you guys? Thanks!

I can't tell your for sure in your district, but in our district, the trustee instructed us to send the check directly to him without endorsing it.

By the way, if that's the only asset you have that he is asking for, don't be surprised if the trustee abandons it and sends it back to you.

I thought the same, Tom, but nothing surprises me anymore.

Silver, was last year's refund a nice chunk of change? I know that ours was, and I almost saw the trustee's eyes bug out when he saw our tax return....it was at precisely that moment when he looked at us and said, "You will need to turn over your 2010 tax refund when you receive it."

We will be getting nowhere NEAR the size refund this year that we did last year.

Last years return was like 1100$ I think so nothing crazy. My attorney says this trustee takes everyones returns. It's standard for him I guess.
