If a single person files for chapter 7, attends the meeting with the Trustee, and before the discharge take's place, which is like within 90 days, get married. Does this change his situation in regards to the bankruptcy? (he gets married between the meeting with the trustee and the discharge) Also its a no asset case. But she has assets.

I wouldn't think so, since the bk is supposed to be based on status at the time of filing. Just don't put any of her assets in your name, I'd think, to be safe. But I don't know for sure! You can file separately even if married, so I don't see why it'd matter unless her assets get your name on them.

Hi Dylan,
In theory this complicates the BK...amended schedule I & J
In practice, the BK trustee rarely speaks up when the Rev. says "Is there anyone present who knows a reason why this couple should not be wed"
Congratulations, whenever you get married !
