Stopping the Chapter 7 BK process after 341

    Hello,

I have a question as I prepare myself to file for chapter 7 bk.

In case during the 341 process if the trustee asks me for documentation that I don't have, then would not being able to provide the documentation move the trustee to dismiss the chapter 7 bk process.

In other words, would not providing the trustee requested additional documentation result into the dismissal of the bk process without any further implications other than not being to file for the bk process for some time.

    Thanks in advance.

are you filing your bk pro se???

actually....whether you have an atty or are doing it pro se, if a trustee requests more documents that you do not have or did not bring with you at your 341....you are given a time limit to submit them...

however, many times if you have an atty the trustee's office, if the atty works closely with them will know if you have something missing prior to your 341...many times going pro se the trustee's office does not notify you.

that being said, the answer to your question is, yes, your bk can be dismissed if you fail to produce documents requested by the trustee within the time allotment they were requested to be received by the court.
