    Reaffirmation Hearing?

    Hi,

My reaffirmation hearing is schedule this Wednesday. I signed and my credit union filed the reaffirmation agreement with the court. I was okay with having to go back to court until now because I can not not miss anymore work. I was wondering if the credit union is okay with me still making payments on my car and keeping it. Would it be "okay" to miss the reaffirmation hearing? Can my entire Bk be dismissed if I don't show up.? What will the judge do if I'm not there?

Sorry for posting this twice but I'm a little worried. TIA

    Hi Broke,

Reaffirmations have to be filed w/ the court and either approved by the judge or signed off by your lawyer. Have no idea what the judge will do for a no-show, but the reaff can't get approved w/o your appearance or your lawyer signing off on it. But none of this prevents you from continuing to make payments if the credit union is OK with it.

    Good luck with this,
