    First, a sincere THANK YOU for everyone who replied. Much appreciated.

    For those in a similar situation, let me tell you what I found out. Yes, they can sell my property if the Lien isn't paid. No, it can't be discharged in Chapter 7.

    I have one more question for anyone who can answer. Knowing that the Lien can't be discharged in Chapter 7, if I go ahead and list it anyway and file my BR before the sale date, would that buy me a little more time (before they strip my claim out of the filing, whatever it's called)? An extra month for me to get the sums necessary to pay the Lien would be fantastic.

    Would that work as a delaying tactic? If so, how much time do you reasonably THINK it would buy me?

      If a month is all that you need, you should be good to go.

      That being said, have you made sure that you actually qualify for Ch. 7?
