    Socal Discharge Time Thread

    For all of you in Southern California (or even other areas), how long are you waiting for your discharge to happen? I am around 80 days past the 341 hearing. I know it's supposed to happen 60 days past the 341. I am hoping by the end of this month. My lawyer estimates at least this long.

    How long can it take for me to get this bk discharged???

      screentest, I am grateful you are reading this thread and have given me valuable information in the other section. I hope you remain on this board and continue posting as your case is very similar to mine in terms of location and timeframe.

      This is ridiculous how long it is taking for your case to discharge. I am really worried this will affect my interviewing for jobs, if I show I am still in bk. I want this thing to end already!!!

        Well, I know how you feel. All the dates have come and gone and now the last one (Discharge) has been the longest wait. I also have to get started paying back my student loans but they wont talk to me until I show them the discharge.

        Oh well, on the other hand I am still enjoying the automatic stay and just moving on with life as best I can. We are both in the same court district, I am just in the IE and from what I have gathered based on pacer, the cases that were processed by my specific trustee have still not discharged. All other trustees in my district have discharged thier case load already from my filing date. I dont know if one has to do with the other by my trustee was also the one that continued EVERYBODY at the 341 as well.

        Most frustrating part....we cant do anything about it except wait it out.

          I'm also in the same district--IE screentest just like you. I'm in the club awaiting discharge, but it hasn't even been 30 days for me. I'm just hoping I don't wait as long as you, but on the other hand, like you say you are still enjoying the automatic stay so maybe not so bad after all. When I'm discharged I'll definitely post.
