How about obtaining a payday loan after filing but befor 341 meeting.

I may need to take a payday loan before my 341 coming up next week. I filed 10/29 and payday loans were never a problem with my case. Any input would be great. Thanks.

i'm with you...actually, when taking the pre course required before filing there must have been 20 questions alone with relation to payday loans and not advising one to do them...

is there another way you can do what you need to do without taking out this loan?

A "payday Loan" is 300% apr. You are not being serious with your "new start" by starting a terrible bad habit. I don't care if it is Christmas coming, you do not need this money. You need to heal. Your question has been answered by two and I am sure others will chime in in spades. Please pay what is necessary as you can. A payday loan in itself can get you a dandy dismissal. My opinion only. 'Hub

Thanks for the input. Even though it is not for xmas, and assuming so. I am not going to do it, I will figure another way of balancing things out and making due.

I have been doing ok since filing and my 341 is quickly approaching. I don't want to mess up now. Just going to place a few things on craigslist for sale and just hope for the best.

How about next month? And the month after that? Is this a temporary cash flow problem? Or is this a cases of income does not equal expenses and now that the CCs are not available to use, you don't have any way to float? If it's a temporary cash flow problem, sell stuff if you can. Do what you can to get through the month. If, however, you look at your budget and realize "oh, crap! This is going to happen every single month!", it'll be time to sit down and figure out a way to either cut expenses or add income, and maybe both.

Payday loans are not going to solve any problems for you. They will only compound them....

                          Hi all,

There was a bill in Congress (CARD Act 2009) that was going to cap APR rates, eliminate outrageous fee, can't hide fees or rate increases in the fine print. It was gutted before is got up for a vote....guess which lobby pulled the teeth out before it passed....the lobby representing check cashing/payday loan outfits. Go figure.....

Payday loan people are predators, pure and simple. One step up from the local loan shark, two steps up from the bookie.

Gotta love their business plan, they should be raking it in

It wasn't because of not having cc to use, I just needed a set of tires quickly for my car and they aren't cheap. I appreciate all the advice and I did not do it.

There will always be something you need quickly (though tires give you plenty of warning unless someone slashes them). I suggest you work on creating an emergency fund immediately.
