Hi pika!
I just wanted to tell you that I am hoping the days up to mid-January go by very quickly for you. It must be agonizing to wait. :::hugs:::

wow...yea i was gonna go the same route, but i had charges in Oct., but for really small stuff...gas/groceries, etc. My attorney said since none of the charges were less than 'neccesary' life expenses, because the total amount charged for any of the charges was never more than $200, and that i had paid my CCs on time every month right up until the month before I filed, i was safe to file. It costs them money come after you for charges, so it's gotta be more than a grand for a given charge for it to be worth their while, and even then it's rare.Ch7 no asset Filed 11/23 341 12/21 discharged: 2/22/11 I am soooo totally not a lawyer, but i wish i had married one! Does that count for anything?

A week later I met with a lawyer, retained him, and was told to stop making my CC payments. Fast forward to yesterday, and I got paid and made my electric bill payment, my car payment, my insurance, my water, my cable, my cell phone, renewed my tag on my vehicle, and I STILL had a few hundred dollars left over. It's incredible in every way, and for those that are suffering, all I can say is that if you ever decided to go this route, the feeling is amazing even before you file. Yes, I was sick to my stomach and did a ton of soul searching. Yes it was difficult to not make payments at first. Yes the phone calls get annoying as to the letters in the mail, but my filing time is fast approaching and that LONG three months is now down to a month and a half.
Also, as I've said before, while I know I COULD have done all of this without this forum, I know for certain that it would not have been as easy. Everyone here has been outstanding even if only offering encouragement.
Okay, anyway, that's my long answer as to why I am waiting the three months.Decided on Chapter 7: October 13, 2010; Retained Attorney: October 20, 2010; Filed Chapter 7: February 4, 2011; 341 Meeting: March 23, 2011; Discharged: May 24, 2011
