Paperwork is turned in - EEEEK!

I guess I can't say I'm "filed" yet because the attorney (her asst) is going to enter all the info, email me a copy to review and then I pay the rest of the money (I told them I was holding the last $500 hostage so they can't file without me reviewing). She said she will have it to me by Wednesday because I was SO organized and had everything she needed.
I owe that to you guys, this place has helped me so much! Thank you thank you!

Right now my biggest fear is that something is out there and not showing up on our credit report. I know MY history is clean, not even a blip on the radar until now, but my husband had a lot of "issues" 10 years ago that I fear he might not be remembering. I would hate to do this and then something come to haunt us in 3 years!! He was "positive" a judgment was gone, but it did show up today when we went over credit report. How can you ever know you have everything??

I am thinking that if it is not on the credit report now, after ten years, you are safe from those coming out to haunt you now? Besides, SOL is usually less than ten years, isn't it?

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but he had so many unresolved things when we met (6 years ago) I don't really know for sure about anything!

List everything you can, but don't worry about a 'forgotten' debt...if they rear their ugly head later you just send them a copy of your BK discharge papers, tell them to get lost.

And the beauty of the discharge injunction is that it doesn't have a statute of limitations....

Now judgements take a little bit more effort, you go to the court where the judgement was entered and file a motion to vacate/set aside along w/ the discharge papers.

Other 'unresolved issues' that won't get resolved are child support, alimony, taxes, restitution, basically anything court-ordered.

Oh and lets not forget student loans...although I wish I could...

In regards to the judgments, do I have to ask my lawyer to do this or is it something they would normally do as part of the bk?
