    Confused about the filing process

Ok, so I have most of my paperwork done and about ready to drop off to attorney's office. I want to finish out Novembers pay to have all of our stubs. I don't even know if this matters, but it makes me feel less confused. lol

Anyway, attorney says her girl enters all the information in and then files to the courts. I asked today when I will be reviewing it (along with my credit report) to make sure it's all ok and everything is accounted for. She said "if you want to review or ask questions that's fine, just set it up with so and so". Is this not normal procedure? Don't I have to sign something before it's filed with the courts?

yes, you do have to sign it....

also, make CERTAIN you review everything!! we had a great atty here in florida, however, his girls were that great with entering the information and we had to correct the petition 4 times before we signed it.

see if they can email it to you...that's what we did. we reviewed it and then let it sit for a day to rest the eyes to make certain everything was fine...then we signed the certification that everything was "true and correct".

some of the common mistakes we found were INCORRECT address...LOL! NOT funny...but the firm listed our address, no lie, from over 30 years ago??? they got that off the "credit" report they had...wow...also we rechecked the credit report against our information and we found a few, of course that was left out. we made certain to name everyone and their mother and their mother's mother...just to cover ourselves. when we didn't know the "amount" we just put amount "unknown", the MOST important part is to make certain the creditor address is correct and it has a correct account number.

BEST of luck to you!! keep posting to let us know how you make out!!

I'm going to call this "so and so" and ask her what's up.
(and believe me, that's why I asked because I want to check every line, letter and space before it's filed)

Thanks and I will definitely keep you posted!!
