Audit of Mortgage by Insurance Company

I received a letter from a private investigation firm stating that they are assisting a mortgage insurance company in an audit of a mortgage loan in my name and they would like my cooperation. I'm Ch7 discharged and the Sheriffs sale of my residence is very soon so I am a little leery of this and I don't want anything to get in the way of the sale.

Anyone know what this could be about? Scam?

I would take that letter and show it to the attorney who handled your Chapter 7. Since you have a lot of public information out there right now with a discharged BK and a foreclosure going on, you are ripe for scams and the scams abound.
