Getting Married prior to Chapter 7 discharge....

Hello, I live in Colorado and filed Chapter 7 last month. I am getting married in December and my fiance and I have no debt together, all accounts are seperate etc. I want to triple make sure (my attorney assures me my fiance cannot be linked to my previous debt) that there is no way my fiance can get linked to my pre-filing debt.

Ask your atty about needing to amend Schedule I and J ...doubt it will be a problem, but just in case.

No worry about linking your debts to your finance, the only debts involved are before the filing date. Debts you get now are all yours...you can share them with your finance if you like...
