Do I need to pay my property taxes if I plan to give up my house in 6 months?

I haven't paid last year's nor this year's. I know the bank paid the year before then wanted me to pay them back, which I didn't. I haven't heard anything from the county.Filed August 20

Hi owoody,
Almost everywhere property taxes go with the house, not the owner. If you don't pay, they won't come after you, whoever gets the house next has to pay the taxes.
