chapter 7. im filing an ammendment & need to include a house i own. the house has a heloc on it for 20k.

would this go under scheule a: real property
or
Schedule D - Creditors Holding Secured Claims

Both.
Schedule A would list the house and the total secured claims (first mortgage plus heloc).
Schedule D would list the first mortgage holder separately, then the heloc loan holder, then any other secured creditors (car loans).

there is no mtg on the property, just the heloc. does that change anything?

No, it doesn't change anything. Just put the heloc on both Schedules. Since there are no other mortgages, the heloc is also the first mortgage.
