Selling motorcycle after discharge?

Just a quick question. Hope this is the right place to post it.

Our Ch 7 was discharged and closed on 10-14-10.


Exempted a newer motorcycle that was paid for. Wondering if I can sell it now or is there a time frame that I have to wait after the discharge and closing?

You can sell it any time you want.

As long as the case has been CLOSED you can sell it. All assets not administered by the Trustee are abandoned upon the closing of the case. Abandonment vests ownership back in the debtor. You may, however, want to make sure the closing was not in error since it has only been two weeks. Check with the Trustee.

Just wanted to make sure.

Received mailed discharge paper and then checked Pacer and it listed Status: Case Closed. Status Set By: Auto Close BK Case. It looks like our case is closed, I hope.

Sounds like it is indeed closed. I'm surprised at the efficiency.
