mortgage fraud & a house included in bankruptcy

if a person commits mortgage fraud (using fraudulent tax returns) to purchase a property & files bankruptcy about a 2 years later. will the bank that holds the mtg on the property in question compare the tax returns that you used to purchase the property with, with the real tax returns that were submitted when you filed bankruptcy?

    i hope thats coherrent.

It's possible, but they'll weigh the cost of pursuing a fraud charge versus what the debtor's assets are before they do anything.

There were several good answers to your question in your thread from yesterday. To reiterate: The bank probably won't do anything throughout the bankruptcy process, but the file could be flagged for an internal audit. Since this is something that is clearly worrying you, Flamingos advice to you was sound: You need to talk to an attorney.

I'm not an attorney. My replies are merely suggestions or observations, not legal advice. As always, consult with an attorney before making any decisions.
