    Hi scottyrox,

Wow! $15,000 ...Nevada sure has a whopping vehicle exemption!

Lots of folks buy a car right before a BK, doesn't seem to be a problem...

Here in Colo, a RV is a vehicle...so you might just be trading in one vehicle(s) for another.

    As always, document everything...

Nothing wrong with preplanning a bk.
Don't be in a hurry to file. Sell the non exmept stuff and get yourself reliable transportation and then, use the balance plus the cash you have on hand {from your other post} for living expenses, securing housing for your family and bk legal fees.
Just dely filing until the time is right.
Also, don't sell the RV's to close friends or family in order to avoid any sort of fraudulent transfer issue. Keep receipts and records for what you spent the money on.
