    Little info/help please

Hubby and I filled for ch 7. Last week we had our 341 meeting. And I've signed us up for for class...What happens now ? Do we still pay car loans (since we are NOT giving up our cars) and student loans? We have not gotten any bills at all. As easy as this has been this has been the hardest thing and I'm pretty much loss what to do next.. Any advice?

    Thanks

Yes on the car loans since you want to keep them, you should not stop those. Did you put the student loans on forbearance? Either way, student loans can wait until discharge. You will not get any bills at all from anybody credit-related due to the automatic stay created by your filing. A bill is an intent to collect, hence a violation of the stay. You can however make voluntary payments to your car loans. You may need to call your lender and ask them for address or remittance information, but you can keep paying them.

EDIT_ What happens now? You take your classes, and if you filed through an attorney he/she will file your certificates with your docket or if you filed pro se you will send your certificates to the BK court clerk with your case number and request they be added to your docket.

Next: Wait out your 60 days (may be more if court backed up) for your discharge if there are no issues.
