Hey dan, that's what I did with my rewards points. I burned them up the week before filing, so I got confirmations of merchandise shipments before the actual filing date, although I received the stuff post-filing. And yes, to answer your question over again, AMEX=NO BK. I've had 3 cards for years. Amex, about a 2 years ago, was the only card to see the "writing on the wall" so to speak. I guess they check credit worthiness periodically, and cut my limit from 25,000 to about 6200. I owed them 6100. They were the only ones who knew my overall debt was to big to keep up payments with my income. The other 2 just kept upping my limit, even though I hadn't hit the max and I was just paying the minimum monthly.Comment
