We put our home into the ch.7 bk and it was discharged 8.9.10 and the house is still sitting vacant and we have yet to get a NOD. We called the bank to ask about doing a mod and they said people after a bk are doing it and are successful (who knows how accurate that is)... our thought is to move back (we had moved out to show we were paying rent for the bk or we wouldn't have qualified for ch.7) and attempt the mod. we can't move till Feb/March so if they still haven't filed by then we will move in.
Any suggestions?? We were told basically if it doesn't work out then we already got rid of the loan in the bk. If we can save the house then horray!
