    Question about schedule J, NYS?

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in awhile because it took my atty some time to get our (my) papers ready to file. They are finally ready and now they are expecting to file by tom. or Friday. My question is regarding the expenses and income issues. They have a positive # of $56.00 in the 'disposable income'. They changed a few figures, raised some, lowered some. We are below the median in our state by a few thousand dollars. I am filing individually as most of the cc's were in my name. My dh is employed, I homeschool our children. Should I be concerned about the positive #? The atty didn't seem to think so. The paralegal who I mostly speak with said they make their numbers appropriate, that is why they change them. You all have been so helpful to me and to others, I thought I would post an update and ask my question here.

This is so stressful. We had to remove my name from our bank acct because we couldn't "spend down" as our propert taxes are due at this same time and we are trying to pay them, we will be short a little, but will be able to make up the difference next month. Thanks so much for reading.

$56 does not sound like an amount to be concerned about. Frankly, I would trust your attorney. If you still have lingering doubts however, see if he/she can increase one or two line items by $10 or so, but I think it really is unnecessary.
    Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10
AHEM.....NOT AN ATTORNEY, NOT ADVICE, ETC, ETC

Thank you, Joe. I appreciate it. I didn't think it seemed high and she was sending it back to the atty for him to sign off on it. We don't presently have a car payment, but my husband's car is in poor shape, so that is just a matter of time. I guess it just feels so out of my control. It is more that they are deciding these numbers and telling me what to do, lol. I guess my big fear is they will ask for a repayment plan of some kind. My atty said he wasn't worried because we are below the median for NYS.
